IAC Rules 2022: Article 1.4 still gives 1 January 2018 as the commencement date, and the 2022 edition does not say from when its changes apply
The IAC Arbitration and Mediation Rules 2022 say in Article 1.4 that they "shall come into force on 1 January 2018" and apply to arbitrations commenced on or after that date. The 2022 text was approved by the Chairman of the IAC on 19 September 2022, but it does not say from when its changes apply. Article 2.2 refers to the rules "in force at the date of the commencement of the arbitration", so the parties need that date to know which edition governs.
Proposed correction
Please state when the 2022 edition took effect and how Articles 1.4 and 2.2 apply to arbitrations commenced before that date.
