Schedule 3 of the Companies Rules sets fine limits by naming provisions of the Companies Regulations. Items 62 ("179-4(8) or (21)") and 64 ("179-7(2) or (15)") first appear in V4 (in force 1 January 2020); V3 had only "179-4(8)" and "179-7(2)". Subsections 179-4(21) and 179-7(15) only require notices to be "in Writing", while the fine clauses for these regimes are 179-4(22) and 179-7(16). The same change added "52(17)", also a fine clause, to item 18, so (21) and (15) look off by one. No published amending act contains this change. The Companies Rules on the AFSA website (read on 24 October 2026) have the same text. Whether items 62 and 64 set a limit for breaches of 179-4(9)-(20) and 179-7(3)-(14) depends on how the description in column 3 is read.
